Welcome to Just Knowledge
Welcome to Just Knowledge
We’re excited to launch Just Knowledge and share our vision for a more equitable approach to research and data analysis.
Why We Started Just Knowledge
Traditional research often excludes the very communities most affected by the issues being studied. We believe this has to change.
At Just Knowledge, we’re building a different model—one where:
- Communities lead the questions being asked
- Data interpretation happens with people, not about them
- Knowledge creation serves justice, not just academic careers
- Research findings are accessible to everyone who needs them
Our First Principles
Communities First
The people closest to problems are closest to solutions. We provide tools and resources that support locally-led change.
No Gatekeeping
Knowledge belongs to everyone. All our data, code, and methods are open and freely accessible.
Change is Possible
We focus on actionable insights that communities can use to drive real systemic change.
Knowledge is Power
We work to build epistemic power in marginalised communities by ensuring they have the methods and tools needed to advocate for themselves.
What’s Next?
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing:
- Case studies from our community partnerships
- Open datasets and analysis tools
- Methodological insights from our collaborative approach
- Stories of change from the communities we work with
